This is a YouTube video about several Human Body Facts that I think would be of interest to students and to get them thinking about interesting facts about the human body before beginning a unit.

This website would be of interest to my students and their parents, because Science City is located just an hour away in Kansas City at Union Station. This is a great opportunity for students to go with their families and explore many different facets of Science. This would be something fun to do during the summer, on a weekend, or even as a school field trip. This website shows hours of operation as well as some of the featured exhibits that are available at Science City.

Opossum Trapping- Mammalogy Class

This is a link to a website to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, IL. I have been to this aquarium myself and was fascinated by its size, variety of species, and the quality of exhibits. I found this great website, highlighting the animals found in Shedd Aquarium. It would be a great place for students to visit if they were ever in Chicago with their families, but the website also has a lot of great information. There are not only specific details about the animals on exhibit, but there are also many important topics in Science today including conservation and habitat preservation and awareness. I think students would definitely be interested in this type of site which could lead to increased influence in a family vacation.

This is a link to the website for the Cosmosphere and Space Center located in Hutchison, Kansas. They have a museum with IMAX theatres that a family could visit on a quick weekend trip, or students could go to these camps during the summer as well. This would definitely grab student interest and be something you could share with your students before they leave for summer break.

This link takes you to a site for Brown University, where they put on summer programs for students interested in Science. This would be a great way to keep students involved in academics throughout the summer. Also, it gives advanced students a way to increase their knowledge and experience new advances in the Sciences. Although out of state and somewhat expensive, this would be a lifetime experience for a student interested in research and development. These types of programs are very important if we, as a country, want to keep up with the research and development of all nations around the world.

This site would be a great site to direct my students to, a place where there are several different Science subjects they can learn about. I really like this site, because not only does it have Puzzles and Games that are educational, but it also has areas that students can go watch interactive labs and learn about possibilities for Science Fair Projects. I like how this site give kids ideas to further expand on. The amount of information on this website over such a variety of topics is great!

This website would definitely target the interest of Science students interested in space. This site includes details of space missions currently going on, details new events and programs students can attend, and provides interactive space games for students to engage in. It has polls that let students make decisions, allowing them to have a say in something that interests them. It is very important to continue to target students who have a fascination with these types of topics and to challenge them since they are the future of Science and Technology.
